Saturday, June 21, 2008 Oh my, it's been like two weeks since Josh's ORD and i have yet to write anything for him like i did for Ton and Loba. Josh, like Ton and Loba, has definitely become a very significant part of my NS life which is also a significant part of my around-70-plus-years life (if i live manage to live that long without exercising while gorging myself with fast food). (Erm... dunno if Josh will read this but if you ever do... well here it is. I've always been very frank with you anyway. whether you like it or not haha.) First of all, thanks for the ORD gift and the birthday card to me. That was a very sweet gesture on your part - shows you are a very sweet and appreciative guy - one THAT VERY GIRL IN MELBOURNE will certainly like alot haha. Not forgetting your ORD email personally to me. I would have written to you/him (i'm confused whether i shud use first or third party term haha) earlier but i guess i was too busy and tired, and possibly "pissed" to be in the right reflective mindset to write to you/him. (shall stick to third party since u guys are reading too) It's been an interesting 8 months since he entered our fateful branch and technically was in the branch earlier than me (me being attached out for one month...) Along the way, it's been really fun knowing him. It's pretty comical when he goes "I'm DEAD" (when he screwed up) or when he still keeps smiling after a stern lecture from boss. I must say he is really a funny creature. (told you before i think haha). Passionate and professional about work, in a way some might say "GARANG" (that's not good). Caring and concerned as a friend and colleague, in a way some might say "AUTHORATATIVE" (that's not good too). And a bit BLUR, in a way some might say... well, (still) BLUR haha... (certainly not good haha) Well since i took over his work, i must say he takes really a lot of pride in his work. TOO MUCH PRIDE MAYBE. To the point, the first time i ever heard someone saying this, he says "I CAN"T BEAR TO PART WITH MY WORK." Like Seriously. But because of his passion about work, i guess i have benefitted in many ways which i cannot thank him enough. I really don't know how i fare as your understudy but i can only hope i live up to your "passionate" standards. SO as an understudy, i SINCERELY (and this time REALLY SINCERELY) THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR GUIDANCE (either good, bad, really bad, or unorthodox guidances) and thanks for all the help you've provided me. I think because he was such a "boy boy" figure to me, i found him an easy target for my sarcasm. haha. Which might make me seem actually very unappreciative of his help. I must say he really might have "stereotyped" me for being a seriously sarcastic person! haha... But i'm REALLY JUST JOKING! haha... Painful but true, i really did enjoy all the comments i make about you. It was a whale of good time laughing and joking around with you which totally gave me an avenue to: 1) vent my pent-up frustrations from work 2) practise my sarcastic skills on you, poor innocent defenceless "boy boy" haha. and 3) express my displeasure towards you (if any) in a healthier, lighthearted and indirect way that can be seen as a joke. Besides all that, i've also enjoyed all the KBOX (omg so many times!) outings we went for and also the jokes in office about Miss Chipmunk etc etc. You are good company! haha. With that, THANKS JOSHUA for the work you left behind, THANKS JOSHUA for leaving the table in a mess when you left (despite my numerous nagging) THANKS JOSHUA for making me look "slack" because u're so hardworking (ahahaha) BUT SERIOUSLY, THANKS JOSHUA, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, FOR ALL THE HELP & CONCERN you've showed me both as a nice friend and colleague. You'll always be the "boy boy" i remember. Cheers :) (ok my first party/third party terms are so screwed but whatever... haha) music.city.soul || 10:11 PM || 0 comments |
