Funny When It Happens to Someone Else
I'm totally tired right now, reached home after work and knocked out straight away on my bed. I guess the weekend had been so fulfilling and booked (to me it's very packed alr... sad. hahaha) that i did not catch enough rest.
Well, after busy busy saturday, it was sunday, perfect for chillin' haha. This time, we broke out of the traditional "AMK meeting place" and met at Jurong East instead, closer to JJ's house. We went to IMM to eat some Hongkong delight. Haven't been to IMM since god knows when and apparently it's changed alot since my childhood days. I think my faintest memory there was when i got lost in IMM because there were so many different furniture shops and all looked similar. I missed a turn with my family and i couldn't find them. Ah yo, so panick. But of course i found them la, if not i won't be here blogging. LOL.
Then JJ and i made our way to Esplanade, where i used his library card whatever membership to borrow more DVDs. haha... Yups rom-com mania again. Fortunately the LACK of rom-coms there curbed my mania from happening haha. Thanks JJ though! haha... made use of him to rent DVDs for FREE! hehe...
Then he made use of me to accompany him to SAFRA Mount Faber where he signed up for SAFRA so he can go swimming more often, in a classier place, so say him haha. Another reason for me to go out with him - can use his discounts for movie tickets and whatever there is hahaha! (ok getting cranky...) And since we were there, we had a "small" tea break at Ya Kun Toast. "Small" since i couldn't finish my food - as usual haha... JJ damn lame also - kept looking and fearing for the life of one hairy caterpillar. Urgh. haha. Then we took a bus back to Bugis area, checked out National Museum and whatever there is along the way as we made our way back to City Hall where i had to meet Yuk and Clara.
Those two gals ah... Say 530 meet 630 then turn up. No wonder i was like this at Cafe Cartel where we ate:

ya STONING! haha We all ordered the pork ribs which was freaking big and bony. haha. Had a little trouble eating it at first but i'm sure i hid it pretty well! haha...
Well nicer photos...

er... not this. hahaha ya these two more like it.
 group shot ;)
After the very fulfilling dinner, we walked around, and the gals bought a shirt each. Before we left, yuk was asking us to join her small choir group. I thought Clara sure don't want lor but she turned out to be surprisingly interested haha... The Clara i know not so enthu one le haha! Ok, i was slightly hesistant as it's been donkey years since my choir days and i do admit i have stage fright since i'm usually so concern about FACE haha...Well, i should be going if Clara is going (my answer to yuk. haha!)
Sunday it shall be........ tentatively haha...

Say This to You
If you read last entry, after meeting Ah Meng/Jeremy, and KTV with office friends, there was still another outing haha - dinner meeting with Kryssie and Eliz! haha... I have not met both of them ever since like the collection of A Level Results last year. Have tried to meet Krys with Lumpy before but never could find the right time, plus i didn't get to see Eliz as well on the class outing last sunday so it was an excellent opportunity to see both of them.
Well, they're still pretty much the same, Krys' a bit thinner and both of them are more fashionable? haha... maybe because i only used to see them in uniform only haha... I'm sure they've always been in fashionable style since college days unlike me haha.
We ate at Spageddies at Paragon and took up the seat for quite along time - after all, the service was pretty bad to us haha... or maybe we were a bit unreasonable as well haha (but they did cross us first). Over dinner, it was complain about college (since when was there any praises? haha) and gossip and bitchy about freaks (notably December) in school - which mean a whole lotta of laughing. With Krys it's always hysterical i swear haha...
It was certainly another chance for camwhoring haha... But krys' and my hands were shaky so it was ALL up to Eliz to take all our great shots! haha... Well more photos photos!

  weird expressions by me haha.
one last good one before we left the restaurant
Then we walked across the road to have deserts at The Royal Copenhagen to continue with our bitching and laughing, basically great catch-up. haha. And well, more cam-whoring. Krys kept trying to adjust the lighting of her pictures and totally used me as the "model". (maybe she keeps those "trial shots" of me secretly? haha... i'm her "illegitimate son" after all haha).

the "model" or more like the guinea pig? haha the smiley gals again one slice for each one of us =) Well, it was getting pretty late after that, plus i was totally tired after such a "busy" day. haha. So we left after that. Thankfully, we all did agree we should meet up more often. Well, i do hope to see them more often, the laughter i get with them is great exercise haha...

For the Later Parade
Well, this weekend has been one hell of a weekend! Ironically, i do mean in a GOOD way. haha...
Friday night was watching The Dark Knight with Kenny G, after which he was really quite freaked out by it. haha... It's been quite hard for us to meet up lately due to NDP commitments and him falling sick (at the wrong times haha) but well, it's always good to catch up with him. At least this time i didn't choke on rice while laughing with him (or was there any chance for laughter during the show? haha)
Saturday was pretty happening haha. Office (yups, not UNIT as someone says... haha) friends had a KTV (not Kbox) session from 11am to 6pm. I joined them from 11 to 1pm and from 4 to 6pm. Well, photos another time ok... but well, i guess KTV not as good as KBOX. =X haha.
Well, from 1 to 4pm it was FINALLY meeting up with Ah Meng and Jeremy! haha... Well, lately i initated a number of gatherings and this one was one of them, and one of those i really wanted to "realise" as we haven met met for sometime (not with Jeremy at least haha...) Well, Ah Meng was "suddenly" free (as i was too cause NDP took a break on sat) and Jeremy had finished his exams so we all were free to meet each other so it was perfect timing to meet.
Well, we ate at NYDC at Bugis junction and as usual, reminiscene about BMT days, and Ah Meng ever so often repeating silly jokes about me (read: PT means...?) but this time it was funner cause we were all realy counting down to ORD! haha... Well, it's been one year and a half since BMT and the memory is still ever so clear. Maybe it was memorable because of the two of them la. haha...
Ok premiere pictures of Ah Meng and Jeremy! haha...

  with me =)
all together now - the slacky three
Really happy we met and had a picture taken - they will never bring a camera to take photo if i didn't i think haha... And i dun want the only photo of us together is the one with us BOTAK. ahaha... Till we meet again! haha...

It Ain't Over Til It's Over
After more than a year and a half, my college "class" finally met up. "Class" because only half turned up but well, i guess the effort is there and that's ALL that really counts. As someone said, "If it's not from the heart, might as well don't do it" haha...
I think it's a good opportunity to see these classmates whom i've not seen physically for so darn long. Especially Hern who is the strongest part of my memory with regards to my college life. The one who i bitched too and made me laughed like crazy and the one who's still complaining to me about life in jc when he sees me. Fact is, i haven't talked to most of them for a long time and i guess it's a good chance to actually talk to them.
Sometimes i wished college would have been better. Hern and i mentioned briefly during the meal, we would certainly do it different given another chance. But well, i'm slightly over it, i guess without that phase of my life i won't be what i am today and i'm fine with what i am today. So no qualms period. haha
Well, Photos photos :)
That's it! Till the next gathering :)

Through the Rain
Friday night, i invited Kenny G over to my house for dinner (to meet and save on money outside). We haven exactly met just for meeting for weeks now since our saturdays are occupied by NDP and Sundays we all prefer a stay-in at home. We're planning to meet next week with the gals for dinner and the two of us for movie so maybe we can get back in tune in meeting more often (with the gals) again haha...
Surprisingly, considering how un-enthu about NDP volunteering this time round, we were singing NDP songs in my room! haha... Apparently, he was super hyped about all the different NDP songs and created a playlist for them. Patriotic i call it haha.
Perhaps that was a prep for sat's NDP. But surprisingly again, this time, NDP was much better. Though it was raining on and off, which meant we had to cover the vip seats, dry them and do lots of stupid shit (which ironically we SIGNED UP FOR), i sorta got repaid in the end. I ended up in the VIP lounge and said many VVVIPs (that's all i'll say) and even eat their catered food. someone even served me warm soya bean. People in my group of VVIP ushers felt super guilty. If they only knew we were ONLY ushers - the lowest "rank", unappreciated of everyone involved in the parade.
I'm not gonna share more about the NDP cause it's NDP after all and you will hear more of it. But to share two funny moments of the day:
1) Dinner and Play
Though dinner was short, we managed to churn out some laughter for ourselves. We played this lame game, Swimming Goggles, and of course, losers forfeit (thank god not me again. HATE forfeits...) One of my groupmates "lost" and had to do a forfeit which was go to the middle of a empty space and sing "Count On Me Singapore" very loudly, waving her hands. Haha... I'll die if i have to do it.
 2) Crazy man
Astro apparently gave her number to this NSF boy who needed to pass her something. Stupid of her but that goes to show how innocent she is haha. Anyway, the guy was sorta a pervert according to Jacelyn cause she was abit freaked out by him who looked and smiled at her for no reason. Sick. When we were waiting for the general debrief, the NSF boy messaged Astro! Then she became super flustered, thinking what she should do, reply or not, how to reply. So Amanda, Jacelyn and I, who sat around her, thought of different replies:
Jacelyn: Who are you? Is it Sheryl baby? OR Amanda: Are you Sheryl, the one i met last nite at the club??? OR ( you'll never believe my answer) Me: F*** you! Who are you!

Us at the seats brainstorming haha. Though i think mine's the best, of which definitely misleads the guy the HP user is a guy and not Astro, they settled with Jacelyn's. But it was funny seeing Astro so flustered and us thinking of how to reply that sicko. Astro even saved the number (so that she will know who it is if he ever calls), and as "CRAZY". Ya... crazy and funny haha...
Well, that's all!
NDP's on a break next week! So that's super good news! haha... Cya

On the Double, Gotta Get a Hold
After many months of inactivity, NO EXERCISE AT ALL (i never go for any healthy lifestyle programme cause i can hardly afford any time during work), i've finally broke the ice with a LONG WALK (walk only?!) on thursday at the Henderson Walk.
I was never even supposed to go for it considering it was A BRANCH OUTING of boss' other unit over at gombak (trying to make it sound vague haha). I knew no one other than JJ and i did hear of the outing from JJ and that's all. But boss, just like me, haven't had the chance to breathe fresh air for a long time, wanted to go despite her piling workload. But the catch is, she wanted to return to work after the walk in the afternoon. Out of guilt (haha) for having me to wait for her in office, she asked me to tag along. It was up to me, but weighing the alternatives of:
1) Not Going - Still have to work in the afternoon, and wait for her to return (God knows when) before working late till god knows when (again).
2) Going - No work in afternoon, get to breathe fresh air, return to office with her before working late til god knows when.
I's obvious the second one is the better choice, right? Well, that's what i chose, though colleagues were slamming me for being stupid (and fallen too deep into the black hole) since i still had to return to work. But i had no choice and i chose the better of the two alternatives. haha.
Well, before the walk, i joined them for lunch at Botak Jones near CMPB. Of course as usual i can't finish my meal. But the shocker was when i went to change into my shorts, i left my handphone and wallet in the toilet and realising it like 10/15 minutes later. And it was around the time everyone was preparing to leave for the walk. I couldn't find it in the toilet and everyone was watching me, so very very diu-lian! But very fortunately, we found it at the drinks stall just when everyone was about to leave us behind to go for the walk while we "supposedly" were going to the police station to report my "loss". Well, thank god then. It would have been really bad to travel all the way there to not only NOT go for the walk, but have to go to the police station and HAVE to return to work after it WITHOUT ANY MONEY and IDENTIFICATION. Would have suck big time seriously. But thank god again haha.
So we made our way to Henderson Walk and... yups photos to show it all.
Sidetracking, I've actually never heard of it until it was mentioned to me a day before. Apparently i don't read newspaper nowadays and i've as clueless as someone living in North Pole. I don't even know there was a murder in AMK until someone told me. I ought to read up more for my own protection/safety from now on... haha.
I think it's actually not bad a place to get some fresh air, have a small workout. Note: Don't go in the hot afternoon seriously. and go with your friends, it's a long walk and you need some chatterboxes to make it feel shorter.
All JJ does is drink. seriously. haha *this is revenge*
Group photos
with the boys "over the other side"
 two boys and a boss
After the walk, boss had aching calves and weirdly, i got an aching butt (experienced that night when we went back to work) haha...
Considering i'll probably not do it anytime soon, it was a nice and interesting experience at the park and with the other people from "the other side". haha.
P.S: JJ, Thanks for the photos. Didn't put up 392 la...

The Fire in Our Hearts that Burned
Was chatting to Fio two weeks ago and believed she remembered cause she did say something in her blog relating to what we said. Not going to mention about what we talk in detail but i thought what she said was right. Yes, as long as we know we've lived up to our own expectations of how a friend should be like, we shall not bother about how others reciprocate.
Speaking of which, I have listed Jennifer Paige's Beautiful as the new title blog song. Any love song can be interpreted in the context of friendship which brings out a different meaning/depth to it.
Fio, may this song ring through to all our injustice, oversensitivity, or even sorrow whenever we deal with the issues we spoke about. Cause through it all, it was BEAUTIFUL (was, nevertheless). Yes, beautiful indeed.
Jennifer Paige - Beautiful
I’m looking for a way to feel you hold me To feel your heart beat just one more time I’m reaching back, trying to touch the moment Each precious minute that you were mine How do you prepare, when you love someone this way, To let them go a little more each day?
The stars we put in place The dreams we didn’t waste The sorrows we embraced The world belonged to you and me The oceans that we crossed The innocence we’ve lost The hurting at the end I go there again, ´cause it was beautiful. It was beautiful.
Some days missing you is overwhelming When it hits me you’re not coming back And in my darkest hours, I have wondered Was it worth it for the time we had? My thoughts get kinda scattered, but one thing I know is true I bless the day that I found you
The rules we stepped aside The fear that we defied The thrill of the ride The fire in our hearts that burned The oceans that we crossed The innocence we’ve lost The hurting at the end I go there again, ´cause it was beautiful. So beautiful.
It was beautiful.
