Asking Me For Mercy, Mercy
This is my last post before i (ad)venture off for a week (or even TWO WEEKS if i dont blog over the next weekend, which is highly possible) of CAMP!
University Freshmen Orienation Camp, that is.
Seriously time passes REALLY fast. Months (or even a year) before, i was just talking to friends about returning to this form of camaraderie activity and this moment tomorrow i'll already be in the thick of the action. (at the thought of OLE OLE AH AH) OMG..........! haha.
Well, will see how it goes! haha
On another note, this start of CAMP-FIESTA signals the end of my SCANDINAVIAN MUSIC FIESTA [ lack of new scandipop lately :( ] and of course, BIRTHDAY FIESTA.
Friday was my last day at work, followed by a "farewell-cum-birthday" outing with seven of my colleagues. (see below for details) Saturday evening was with Ter-weeds (congrats again on the driving licence! he needs to chaffeur me around now hehehe). The both of us caught the amazingly hilarious and yet meaningful bromance movie, "I LOVE YOU, MAN". I knew i had to catch the movie when i saw the trailer so it was really great to know i like the movie alot haha.
And Today was just spent on packing for the camp. ha

FRIDAY FAREWELL-CUM-BIRTHDAY OUTING(this are the photos i have for now, will upload the rest when they send me!)  with mistresses and daughters we ate again at pizza hut (they have good deals! haha)  as usual, pizza never fails :)   more photos (w, suz and vi not in photos coz they were on the other side of the table)   they even gave me a present - thanks!!!-  presented by colleague M it's a perfume called ROMANCE II (lol) after the very satisfying pizza, we drove to orchid country club for three rounds of bowling! i haven been bowling since dunno when so it's great to re-touch this sport, which i do decently well in! haha first round i was in same team as Ena, Jack and Vi. The whole time Jack and I were cheering very loudly haha. so enthusiastic! haha And we won! second round was with Ena, Jack and Wiafter all the cheering, jack and i were like... TIRED! haha. but our group still won! (must be the Colleague M curse for the other group =XXX ha)third round was INDIVIDUAL round!And guess what? i won! FIRST PLACE! haha... i consider myself quite on the lousy end so this was very... comforting haha! plus i tot it was VERY BEFITTING i got the throne position since i'm the main person that night! haha (i'm ever so narcissistic lol) In short, bowling was fun and exciting! haha. Then we proceeded to Jalan Kayu for supper before heading back. Thank you gals!IT WAS THE BEST FAREWELL THEY COULD GAVE ME! hahaP.S: i really want to say i will miss work, but i dont! haha =X

Birthday Special 9: It's Only You
Scholarship Update: After today's briefing / talking to mentors, I've decided to accept the Scholarship :) I'm pretty alright with the terms and conditions and very comfortable with the route i'm going to take.
And my 21st Birthday "Fiesta" continues...
MONDAYwith my dear CPF colleagues we ate at delifrance at taka, everyone ordered the $7.90 set dinner haha. it was simple, just chatted and crapped about stuff. when the deserts came, they sang the birthday song for me :) hahabut we decided to sing the song TWO more times for the other two june babies, Bee and Ms Miao Miao, as they say, THREE TIMES' A CHARM. haha. (it was pretty humiliating but quite silly-ishly funny)  they also gave me presents so thank you so much! TUESDAYwith fio sis a recent recent photo god since dunno when, fio and i have not met for a proper proper meetup! Until Tuesday that is. haha.We ate at the Manhattan Fish Market at J8, and i ate Alaskan Pollock (dunno what's tt ha) food was nice, but maybe TOO MUCH for me. haha (i've been eating v little lately! exercise needs to resume!)After that we walked around to shop for SPORTY stuff. haha she needed an outfit for her modelling stint, me for my upcoming camps. you see, i am VERY IN-THE-MOOD to post old ugly photos of myself (i don't know what's become of me! hahaha), but the tagboard says (fio will) "kill me if (i) dare post up (our) sec school neoprints". haha. So no ugly photos :( haha In short, WE BOTH LOOK HORRIBLE.ok, maybe not "HORRIBLE" for me. (fio will SO KILL ME now!)nice photos then   another of my birthday meet-up series, and NICE :)WEDNESDAYbought new shoes & singlet (i'm SPENDING SO SO MUCH lately!)THURSDAYlunch treat by Sei-ye Des - THANK YOU :)went for scholarship briefing bought MENG's present, FINALLY!&Dinner Treat by Aunty Nancy :)(joined by SF and Gracie)Gracie's mum was very nice to treat me to dinner to celebrate my 21st. we ate at pretty-atas restaurant, My Humble House / Space at Esplanade. then deserts at Gluttons' Bay. seeing the three of them reminds me of Taiwan 08 haha  back in MARCH 2008 THANKS AUNTY NANCY!

Birthday Special 7: Happy 21st Birthday
 HAPPY 21st Birthday to me!With my 21st, i have decided: 1) I need to take charge of my life much more than let pple/fate decide sometimes. 2) I need to believe in myself more, and worry less! 3) I should never allow anyone to make me feel less than what i am/what i can be. 4) I will strive to lead a more fulfilling aka well-rounded/balanced life! 5) I really need to eat more!University is up next so one of my biggest wish is that it would be a great four years ahead with good results, good friends (current and new) and good memories :) And as always, LET THE GOOD REMAIN

Birthday Special 6: A Little Thing We Make
* Happy 21st Birthday to MYSELF! Yesterday was the last Pre-21st Birthday Bash with NS colleagues :) I woke up early to go NUS for a camp briefing with Maxim. *such a waste of time cos the briefing was only 15 minutes! Then i called Maxim along for our lunch meetup with the rest. We met for lunch at Liang Court (so ulu for me! haha) where we ate at Tam Po Po. Somehow i've starting to develop liking for Ramen noodles haha - good considering i dun really like Jap cuisine. *we being oh-my-tian JJ, Marc, BBQ, Ms Yv, Jen, Wendie. After lunch, Wendie & Maxim left, and the rest proceeded to do the routine - KTV. I must say I"VE SO LOST TOUCH WITH CHINESE SONGS! EVEN ENGLISH SONGS LA! I'm so so so into my own world of scandinavian and european music! haha.  but still can find some english songs for me to sing :) * i think i look a bit drunk haha (there were no alcohol!) THEN ANOTHER "SURPRISE"!Ms Yv, Jen and Marc left for toilet and before my ex-boss left, i saw her wink at Marc so i KINDA expected something already. Still... no expectations haha.  a proper cake (finally) with exact 21 candles!  breathless la!!! i totally can't blow ALL 21 at one go. i need to resume exercise!  trying to cut the cake with the sidewrap still on    group photos ;)  nice cake with a middle crispy crust! a few WEIRD photos with oh-my-tian JJ  weird expression  weird pose by JJ!  what's his finger touching!!! *that was my RIGHT THIGH ONLY la.PART TWOMarc left slightly earlier before we ended KTV at ard 6plus. Then the rest of us headed to MINDS CAFE. 1st GAME: monkey on ladders it was quite funny cos we had to put the sticks out from the "tree" without making the monkeys fall. But jen keep dropping the monkeys! (to be fair i lost one round with 11 monkeys too! =X) But her method of "GOU-ing" the stick up, in an attempt to save herself, ended up GG-ing herself! 2nd GAME: TABOOWith Jen's limited vocabulary, it was made for disaster! haha. JJ and me was one team (the good one!) while we forced BBQ to be on the same team as Jen haha! Funny moments include:ONE: When u're at the restaurant, what do u give? (Jen said: SPOON! LOL!!!) (Answer - TIP) TWO: If you can't sleep, what do u call it? (Jen said: SLEEPING PILL!!! Wa lau!!!) (Answer - INSOMNIA) THREE: Jen was doing fine when she used "http" when describing "WEBSITE" But then she went "http: WWW" (Taboo word: WWW), then CUI already!!! And how she can't describe OSTRICH was damn funny. haha. Lotsa of fun that Ms Yv just couldn't leave (she had something on later on but keep staying cause i think we were having SUCH A BLAST LAUGHING!)

PART THREE: SNORTA!It was a combination of SNAP and memorising each other's ANIMAL's sound! SUPER DUPER FUNNY cos we all had quite bad memory. But with Jen's VERY VERY SLOW REACTION, she keep losing!!! And i had to devise ways to remember the other three's animal noises! WOOF-SIII-CROAK!!! (dog - BBQ, snake - JEN, and frog - JJ) It was the funniest of all games. LOVE IT! PART FOUR: TWISTER!  my first time playing NOT BAD! QUITE FUN! haha  the PK between BBQ and JJ that never concluded.  and totally shagged me up! haha We stayed for two and a half hours there and it was ALL GREAT FUN! Thanks ALL for celebrating my 21st with me! :) - i must say of all gifts, the gift of joy & laughter is the best! -

Birthday Special 5: Absolutely No Decorum!
* Dedicated to Yuk (who took major time out to celebrate with me), and dear Krys (who rejected alot of people too)!
Friday was chope-d for my dear Krys and Yuk, and our plan was dinner and flyer :)
Since Krys was not working on that day, i took half day so we could meet earlier.
And she came over to visit my crib :)
 with the photoframe haha. She did some "scheming" things when she was at my house but i'll talk about that later haha. But MS GLAMBERT did something RADICAL to me when she was over. ( NTH DIRTY! still below 21 then!) It's about this:  IF U DON'T KNOW, TOO BAD! haha.  ms glambert and mr sim-conrad Then we proceeded to travel to City Hall where we will meet Yuk at Esplanade where she supposedly needed to go the library to look for music notes (though she was already late). So Krys and i, being very hungry, windowed-shopped at Marina Square and stopped twice to munch French Fries and Famous Amos Cookies. Then Yuk called and the two of us left for Esplanade where she was at the rooftop area supposedly looking for her friend. But when we went up to the roof, I SAW THIS: 21-DONUTS SURPRISE!*the donuts spell JOEL :) Instead of a cake, they have bought 21 doughnuts! ahaha. IT WAS SUCH A PLEASANT SURPRISE INDEED :)*apparently it was very diff to get the donuts, so thanks yuk!So all the time, what Krys was saying about Yuk going to the library to look for notes, or looking for her friend at the rooftop... ALL LIES!  happy birthday :) AND THEIR PRESENT WAS: the new MANDY MOORE's "Amanda Leigh" CD! AH!!! hahaha.... My favourite Mandy! :)Apparently, when Krys came over to my house, she was like asking "So where are your Mandy CDs?"And i was so happy to show her my WHOLE Collection of Mandy CDs, VCDs and DVDs! Krys make me feel so stupid!!! hahahaha... (and i tot she was genuinely interested in my Mandy!!!) with ms i-can-lie-so-well (especially to stupid joel)  the girls who made it all possible :) MOVING ON TO PART TWO: THE FLYER!This part of the program i tot of one. haha. Was deciding what DIFFERENT thing i could do with the girls and came up with this haha. *plus there was the $10 student price!*krys and i haven "ride" it before so we could have our "virgin" exp on it too! Turns out it was quite boring, and we couldn't get one compartment to ourselves! Argh. Nevermind, we still took major photos :) ha   before entering    in the flyer  i look nice and happy :) *and i really like the t-shirt i'm wearing! three meanies haha PART THREEAfter flyer, we finally went for dinner (yuk was starved) at Jack's Place. After which we walked from Marina Square all the way to Somerset, where we stopped for a mo' to talk about our love interests/preferences (nth much for me to comment!) haha. Then we took the same bus home, by then all of us are TIRED! If anything i really realise, is we're ALWAYS SO MEAN to each other! haha We are always throwing sarcastic comments, insulting or laughing at each other! But all in the name of fun, right? haha.  Thanks GIRLS for this birthday surprise and spending time and LOTSA money on me! THANKS SO MUCH!!!:)
